TORINO F.C.
Torino Football Club, colloquially known as Toro, is one of Italy’s most storied clubs, based in the city of Turin.
The history of Torino is inextricably linked to the legend of the Grande Torino, regarded as one of the strongest teams in the world during the 1940s. The club achieved a historic run of five consecutive league titles (1945-1949). Toro was also the first Italian team to complete the domestic double (Serie A and Coppa Italia) in the 1942-43 season.
Torino’s distinctive color is granata (maroon). The most widely accepted explanation for this choice is that it pays tribute to the “Brigata Savoia”, which contributed to the liberation of Turin in 1706.
All club symbols feature a rampant bull, the heraldic emblem of the city.
