
PORTUGUESE OLYMPIC COMMITTEE
The Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP) is the most authoritative body in Portuguese sport. It is a non-profit civil association, with legal personality and sporting character, constituted in accordance with the rules established by the International Olympic Committee. It was founded in 1909 and its mission is to develop, promote and protect the Olympic Movement in Portugal, in accordance with the Olympic Charter, being a constituent part of the Olympic Movement and recognised by the International Olympic Committee.
At the end of 2015, Joma and the COP signed an agreement whereby the Spanish brand became the official clothing supplier of the Portuguese Olympic team, including the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020, renewing for the 2024 Olympics.
