SPANISH OLYMPIC COMMITTEE
The Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) is a private association that manages and applies the rules for Spanish participation in the Olympic Games according to the rules of the International Olympic Committee. The COE has more than 100 years of history as it was founded in 1912 and has evolved over time to improve its organisation, promotion and dissemination. The COE is the entity responsible for the Spanish participation in all the competitions that take place during the entire Olympic cycle, such as the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the European Games and the Youth Games, among others.
This collaboration originated in 2015, when Joma signed the agreement to become the official clothing supplier of the Spanish Olympic team. Since then, the Spanish brand has dressed athletes in various international competitions, including the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The 2024 Olympics will mark the third time that Joma will dress the COE, reaffirming its commitment and support for Spanish sport.
The entire collection is focused on sustainability, from the design and production of the kits with recycled fabrics to the labels. It is divided into three lines: Parade, Podium and Villa. The jewel of the collection are the parade outfits, designed specifically for the opening of the Paris Games. These garments stand out for their lightness and comfort, achieved through advanced technologies such as thermo-sealing to eliminate seams, laser cutting for finishes, die-cutting for ventilation and "cool feeling" fabrics that reduce body temperature by 2°C.
