The 2023 World Handball Championship begins with a strong presence from Joma

The Spanish brand is kitting out four national federations in the 2023 World Handball Championship (Spain, Poland, Croatia and Slovenia), as well as having two Joma Players at the event: Miguel Sánchez-Migallón and Leonardo Vidal.

At the 2023 World Handball Championship, which is held in Poland and Sweden this year, the Spanish company Joma, is showcasing its power within this sport. In total, four national federations sponsored by Joma will be competing between the 11th and 19th of January 2023: Spain, Poland, Croatia and Slovenia.

32 countries will compete for the world title throughout the different phases held at different Swedish and Polish locations. Among them, four belong to the JomaTeam, apart from the two Joma Players: Miguel Sánchez-Migallón, who plays for Spain, and Leonardo Vidal, the Brazilian goalkeeper.

All first phase games will be played in Krakow. The first three of each of the eight groups will qualify for the main phase, which takes place from Wednesday 18th to Monday 23rd. After this, the top two from each group from the main phase will take part in the quarter finals on Wednesday 25th in Gdansk. The semi-finals will take place on Friday 27th in the Polish city and in Stockholm. And the final will be played in the Swedish capital on Sunday 29th.

Joma in handball

The diversification by Joma that has taken place in recent years has led the brand to acquire a strong presence in other, less traditional, disciplines. In particular, handball has been taken to a higher level, as shown by the presence of the JomaTeam at this 2023 World Handball Championship. This would not have been possible without all the confidence placed in Joma, the investment in developing the product, R+D+I and the application of the latest technology in sports products.

Joma wishes everyone we are sponsoring the best of luck at the world championship.
