Joma has improved its iconic flying shoe: the R-3000

The improved R-3000 model of flying running shoe features two new developments: a much more robust sole and a wider range of sizes.

The R3000 flying running shoe is now more robust and durable. This new development forms part of the improved Joma model within the Winter 2022 technical running footwear collection. Due to the DURABILITY rubber reinforcement on the sole, the shoe guarantees traction on tarmac at fast speeds. Hence, it delays wear in the most susceptible area.

The R-3000 is designed for refined technical runners who land on the front of their foot. That’s why the toe area is reinforced with rubber, especially the big toe and the transition lines of the foot.

Another change is in terms of expanding the sizing. These unisex trainers are now accessible to runners with a smaller shoe size. Specifically, from size 37. Here at Joma, we don’t want anyone to be left behind. From now on, they will also be able to fly with the R-3000.

Other benefits of the R-3000, intact

The star feature of the R-3000 is the extra reactivity provided by the ENDOPLATE carbon fibre plate. This semi-rigid material compresses the foam on the midsole and achieves 80% reactivity when releasing the body weight. This energy saving helps to reduce fatigue, maintain a constant pace throughout the race and aids recovery.

The upper is built with a highly breathable material, to which the VTS SYSTEM has been applied in order to maximise this quality. In addition, the very lightweight mesh provides comfort and freedom of movement for the foot, adjusting itself with the JOMA SPORTECH seamless system.

On the sole, an exclusively researched geometry has been developed for the type of runner that the R.3000 is targeted at. The pattern is applied on the DURABILITY high density rubber which has been reinforced as explained above.
