Royal Spanish Handball Federation
The Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM) is the privet entity responsible for the Spanish handball, raging from its national sides to different national competitions all over Spain. The RFEBM was founded in 1941 and has grown ever since in order to improve its supervision and promotion of handball in Spain. With regards to national sides, Spain handball team is one of the most laureated teams in the world. RFEBM and Joma join forces so as the latter, Spanish leader sport company, dresses both female and male national sides since 2018. It is an important sponsorship deal that will provide the team with exclusive designs and a wide range of merchandising.
• “Hispanos” (Spain men’s national side) o Three bronze medals in the Olympic Games: Beijing 2008, Sidney 2000 and Atlanta 1996. o Two gold medals in World Championships: Spain 2013 and Tunisia 2005. o Bronze medal in World Championships: Sweden 2011. o Four silver medals in Europe championship: Poland 2016, Swiss 2006, Italy 1998 and Spain 1996. o Two bronze medals in Europe Championships: Denmark 2014 and Croatia 2000.
•“Guerreras” (Spain women’s national side) o Bronze medal in Olympic Games: London 2012. o Bronze medal in World Championship: Brazil 2011. o Two silver medals in Europe Championship: Croatia-Hungary 2014 and Macedonia 2008.
• 22 medals in World championships and European championships in under-21 national sides. Among those we should highlight five gold medals, two of which achieved by the latest “Hispanos junior” generation.
• 21 medals in beach handball, confirming that Spain is one of the greatest sides in this sport. Among those, we should highlight the gold model achieved bb the “Hispanos de la Arena” (Sand Hispanos) in the European championship in Croatia 2017, and the gold medal of the “Guerreras de la Arena” (Sand Guerreras) in the World Championship in Hungary 2016.
