Polybags, the bags used to protect each textile garment until it reaches the store or the end-consumer, are another of the company’s areas of activity. Joma has a process in place to replace traditional bags with biodegradable ones that decompose and are later transformed into nutrients, water and biomass. This way, a double function is fulfilled: plastic pollution is avoided while contributing to the improvement of mother-nature.
Joma has been national leader in sales of sports equipment for nine consecutive years and is globally in the top ten, which is why the replacement of this polluting material with another biodegradable one will mean the elimination of 40 million plastic bags in just one year.
