GIORGIA ZANNONI
Giorgia Zannoni, born in Chieri on February 11, 1998, is one of the most respected liberos in the Italian league. Her career is marked by a key technical insight: during her time at Club Italia, Giorgia transitioned from outside hitter to libero. She is currently the defensive cornerstone of Roma Club.
Her definitive breakthrough came with AGIL Novara, where Giorgia enjoyed a legendary three-year period (2016-2019). Despite her young age, she contributed to winning all the major trophies: Italian Championship (Scudetto) in 2017, two Italian Cups, a Supercup, and the prestigious CEV Champions League in 2019.
After starring seasons at Cuneo and Busto Arsizio, Giorgia joined the Roma Club project for the 2024-25 season, immediately becoming a team leader. Her impact in the capital was remarkable: she led the team to win the WEVZA Cup (earning MVP of the tournament) and added another international trophy to her collection with the Challenge Cup victory.
Giorgia’s talent emerged very early at the international level as well: in 2015, she was a key member of the Italian U18 National Team that won gold at the World Championship.
