Sponsored by Joma, CD Leganés has been promoted to the top Spanish league where the ‘Pepineros’ will compete with some of European footballs biggest and most powerful teams for the first time in its 88 year history. The club finished second in Segunda Division B, after beating Miranda 1-0 in the last game of the season on Sunday 5th June to guarantee top flight Spanish football next season.
