Marcel Granollers, Sara Sorribes and Marie Bouzková reach the final rounds at Wimbledon

The three #JomaPlayers managed to earn their places in the final rounds of the Wimbledon 2023 tournament. Marcel Granollers reached the men’s doubles final and duo Sara Sorribes and Marie Bouzková reached the women’s doubles semifinals.

Wimbledon 2023, played on the iconic grass court of the All England Club in London, is over. Of the more than 15 #JomaPlayers that the Spanish brand has sponsored in the legendary tournament, the track record of three of them stands out in particular: Marcell Granollers, Sara Sorribes and Marie Bouzková. All of them succeeded in reaching the final rounds of the championship, taking the titles of finalist and semi-finalists respectively.

Marcel Granollers, men’s doubles finalist

Catalan player, Marcel Granollers, sponsored by Joma, earned his place in the doubles final alongside the Argentinian, Horacio Ceballos. Following his 6-4 and 6-4 results against world number 1s, the player reached his second final of the tournament. This result has helped the #JomaPlayer to take a step closer to reaching the ATP Finals in Turin.  Now, he embarks on the path towards new opportunities to be crowned champion.

Sara Sorribes and Marie Bouzková, women’s doubles semi-finalists

Spaniard Sara Sorribes, from Castellón, and Czech player Marie Bouzková, both belonging to the #JomaTeam, formed the semifinal pair in the women’s doubles competition at Wimbledon 2023. This was both players’ first semifinal played in a Grand Slam tournament, which is remarkable to say the least. Despite the result of 6-4 and 6-1 in favour of the rival duo, the road up to this point enabled Joma’s female tennis players to gain valuable experience and pave the way towards long-awaited victory in one of the major tournaments.

In fact, the Spaniard has already won three doubles titles on the circuit. The last win was also alongside Bouzková last year in Istanbul.
