“Fly through the trails” with the new TR-9000 trail running shoes

Joma welcomes the TR-9000 trail running model, the first dedicated solely to competition. Recommended for fast runners, short distances and easy terrain.

The TR-9000 is the result of Joma’s footwear design team’s hard work in creating the first trainers specifically for competition. This is an evolution of the R.4000 running model which, after incorporating a trail running sole, has resulted in this new addition to the trail running catalogue.

It is aimed at fast runners (a race pace of less than 4 minutes/km) with an excellent technique that want to compete on low difficulty terrains and at short distances (less than 20 km). This is a new area in which Joma wants to make waves: runners with demanding paces that are looking for a pair of ultra-lightweight trainers, with a good momentum and comfort on forest trails. In fact, they weigh less than 200 grammes.

Breathable and very lightweight upper

The TR-9000 are bursting with technology. The upper has been made in personalised nylon with an elegant Jacquard finish. Throughout the fabric, micro perforations have been added using VTS technology, which enables the air to flow in and out to aid the wicking of sweat. This way, the foot will stay dry, even when running at very fast paces.

To optimise the fit, they feature JOMA SPORTECH technology: Heat-sealed TPU in strategic areas, whose function is to adjust the trainers to the foot and hold it in place. Another difference compared to the R.4000 model is the PROTECTION reinforcement on the toe to protect the area from potential knocks and scuffs, preventing tears in the fabric and stopping grit from filtering inside.

Reactivity and comfort without limits

The TR-9000 is manufactured entirely using FLY REACTIVE technology, a lightweight foam which, in addition to providing reactivity, ensures the runner doesn’t notice stones or any other element on the trail. Equally, the STABILIS piece on the shank provides the stability needed to limit unnecessary twists, preventing the appearance of injuries.

Another fundamental aspect of the TR-9000 is the sole. Its construction in DURABILITY rubber is equipped with a 2.5 mm tread. It guarantees adherence to any type of surface.
