ANDREA COSI
Andrea Cosi, born in Florence on April 30, 2001, represents the excellence of the new generation of Italian race walkers. A specialist in the 20 km race walk, Andrea has shown exceptional athletic maturity, climbing the international ranks through unwavering dedication and an extraordinary progression of personal bests that has brought him to the top of his discipline.
Andrea’s career is a perfect example of how consistent work leads to elite results. Starting from a time of 1:32:05 in 2019, he has steadily broken his own limits year after year, reaching an incredible personal best of 1:18:43 in Poděbrady in May 2025.
His achievements already include many memorable moments. After winning silver at the 2023 European U23 Championships in Espoo, he had his golden year in 2025 at the World University Games (Universiade) in Reno-Ruhr, setting a new Universiade record in the 20 km race walk.
Beyond his individual successes, Andrea Cosi is a valuable team player: in 2023, he played a decisive role in Italy’s team gold at the European Race Walking Team Championships in Poděbrady.
