The Spanish Olympic team achieved an excellent medal haul in Rio, landing 17 medals in total including seven gold, four silver and six bronze.
A total of 306 athletes travelled to Rio looking to push themselves to their limits in the worlds greatest sporting event. Joma accompanied them all the way as official sponsor to the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) with the iconic logo appearing countless times in front of the TV cameras and broadcast to the hundreds of millions watching on every continent.
The Spanish delegation returns from Rio with an impressive number of medals as well as 38 Olympic diplomas. The haul of seven golds, four silver and six bronze meant that Spain finished in 14th position in the overall medals table, a feat only surpassed in Barcelona in 1992.
