Joma launches the second edition of the official shoes of the Firenze Marathon with the R.2000 model, the most complete of the brand.
The official R.2000 Firenze Marathon shoes have undergone double renovation in both model and design. On the second anniversary of Joma and the Firenze Marathon, participants will run through the streets of the Italian city with the most complete, versatile, and comfortable shoes that the brand has created so far: the R.2000. This change has been made with the aim of reaching all types of runners and providing them with the utmost comfort, even for their recovery. Versatility, breathability, cushioning, and reactivity are among some of its strengths.
During the 42 km and 195 meters race, participants will pass through Florence’s most emblematic places: the Cathedral Square, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza Duomo, among others. And they will do so with the new exclusive shoes on November 26, 2023. A route full of beauty, art, and, of course, sports.
Purple as the protagonist of the new Firenze Marathon special edition
For the 39th edition of the Firenze Marathon, Joma team and the race organizers have completely redesigned the design. Purple has been chosen to be the protagonist of the new aesthetic, a color representing the city’s majesty and beauty. On the upper, a graphic with the name “FIRENZE” fused with the Italian flag has been added also incorporating more references to the symbolism of Florence, such as the famous lily in the logo.
Likewise, the shoes combine a sporty style with a casual touch, following the references of Florentine fashion. That is why the sole is white.
Technical characteristics of the R.2000 Firenze Marathon shoes
The R.2000 Firenze Marathon sneakers are prepared to withstand a pace required for long and medium distance competitions. This is the latest addition to the famous R line, the most complete ones that Joma has manufactured so far. Thanks to their excellent comfort, responsiveness, and ability to absorb impacts, they adapt to the runner accompanying them in a multitude of uses, such as recovery.
The upper is made of breathable custom nylon with small VTS perforations, improving sweat ventilation. We have added JOMA SPORTECH thermosealed TPU in the lacing area in order to provide firmness, support, and fit to the upper. As for the midsole, it has been constructed with FULL DUAL PULSOR technology. In the rear part, they include FLY REACTIVE, a super lightweight and flexible foam that offers excellent propulsion. Finally, the outsole is made of DURABILITY rubber with very good resistance to abrasion on asphalt, extending its wear-and-tear.
