The official R.2000 20 km Paris shoes have undergone double renovation in both model and design. Starting from the XLV edition, participants will run through the streets of Paris with the most complete, versatile, and comfortable shoes that Joma has created so far: the R.2000. This change has been made with the goal of reaching all types of runners and giving them the maximum possible comfort, including for their recovery. Versatility, breathability, cushioning, and reactivity are some of its strengths.
Once again, participants will pass through the most emblematic places in the French capital throughout the 20 km Paris race. And will do so with the new exclusive shoes on October 8, 2023. The race passes through the most beautiful places in western Paris, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Bois de Boulogne, among others.
Yellow as the protagonist of the new special edition 20 km Paris
For the new edition of the 20 km Paris race, Joma team and the race organizers have completely revamped the design. A powerful fluorescent yellow covering the entire upper, resulting in a striking and vibrant aesthetics. A graffiti-style graphic has been added, similar to the one used in urban art. The spirit of the city has served as inspiration for this occasion. On the other hand, the colors of the French flag are imprinted on the sole in three wide stripes. Blue also appears in the logo.
Technical characteristics of the R.2000 20 km Paris shoes
The R.2000 sneakers are prepared to withstand the pace required for long and medium distance competitions. This is the latest addition to the famous R line. The most complete ones that Joma has manufactured so far. Thanks to their excellent comfort, responsiveness, and ability to absorb impacts, adapting to the runner and accompanying them in a multitude of uses, such as recovery.
The upper is made of breathable custom nylon with small VTS perforations, improving sweat ventilation. We have added JOMA SPORTECH thermosealed TPU in the lacing area in order to provide firmness, support, and fit to the upper. As for the midsole, it has been constructed with FULL DUAL PULSOR technology. Featuring FLY REACTIVE in the rear part, a super lightweight and flexible foam that offers excellent propulsion. The 10 mm drop favors this responsiveness. Featuring higher density phylon in the front part, in order to absorb impacts. Finally, the outsole is made of DURABILITY rubber with a very good resistance to abrasion on asphalt, extending its wear-and-tear.
