Sara Sorribes and Marie Bouzková conquer the WTA 1000 in Beijing

#JomaPlayers Sara Sorribes and Marie Bouzková are the new champions after winning the doubles title at the WTA 1000 in Beijing.

Spanish player Sara Sorribes and the Czech player Marie Bouzková, both players from the tennis #JomaTeam, achieved their first WTA doubles title at the Beijing Open. They did it after defeating the duo composed of Taiwanese player Hao-Ching Chan and Mexican player Giuliana Olmos on hard court with a score of 3-6, 6-0, and 10-4.

The couple, who had already succeeded in reaching semifinals at Wimbledon, won the final of this Beijing Open in the WTA 1000 category. From the very beginning, they demonstrated fast play and a high level of assertiveness on the court, something that led them to achieve an exceptional match.

This trophy is the second one they have won together (already winning the first one in Istanbul 2022), and the first WTA 1000 in Sara Sorribes‘ career. The Spanish player has shown that she is back and stronger than ever. At the end, both players embraced, demonstrating the friendship that has been forged through their shared experiences. As mentioned before, they also reached semifinals at Wimbledon and quarterfinals at Roland Garros this year.

From Joma, as their official technical sponsor, we will continue to accompany them in the successes that are yet to come.
