Joma will supply apparel to twelve Olympic Committees for Tokyo 2020

At the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games, Joma, the Toledo-based company supplied apparel to 10% of those housed in the Olympic Village, which was a great challenge in all aspects of the company and made the brand’s power visible in this complicated sports market.

In Tokyo 2020, its presence has been strengthened. Twelve National Olympic Committees have trusted Joma to supply their delegations, a great responsibility to which the company has responded effectively, despite the changes in plans due to the postponement of the Games.

The twelve Olympic Committees wearing Joma are:

– Spanish Olympic Committee

– Portuguese Olympic Committee

– Moroccan Olympic Committee

– Jordanian Olympic Committee

– Mauritius Olympic Committee

– Guatemalan Olympic Committee

– Maltese Olympic Committee

– Armenian Olympic Committee

– Moldovan Olympic Committee

– Kazakhstani Olympic Committee

– Honduran Olympic Committee

– Kuwaiti Olympic Committee

Joma’s presence in Tokyo will be even greater as the sponsorship of several national federations and individual athletes will mean that the brand will be seen not only in the opening parade, in the Olympic Village or on the podium, but also in competitions. Among the group teams are the track and field teams (Spain, Belarus, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia), handball (Spain and Russia),

football (Romania and Honduras) and table tennis (Spain).

Individual sponsorships include Chuso García-Bragado, who will make history as the only athlete to have competed in eight Olympic Games, and the Spanish tennis player Pablo Carreño Busta.
