The Spanish Olympians will contribute to environmental sustainability with their uniforms

For the first time, the Spanish Olympians will contribute to the sustainability of the planetreducing plastic pollution from thousands of waste bottles and reducing carbon emissions into the atmosphere

Plastics, which are seriously damaging biodiversity, are processed into 100% recycled polyester thread and subsequently into more than one million meters of sustainable fabric that is used to manufacture Joma garments.

A large part of the more than 70,000 products that Joma has manufactured for the Spanish expedition to Tokyo 2020 are made from recycled polyester. For two of the most special moments for an athlete, the opening parade through the Olympic Stadium and the podium, the Spaniards will be sending a message of sustainability as they will be wearing polo shirts, tracksuits and jackets made from this material.

The use of recycled polyester adds value to the brand’s quality standards, for which Joma is known for in the market.

Joma is working so that, in a few years, 100% of its production will be made of sustainable materials, and have been progressively implementing it for several of its collections. The COE line is one more step towards this goal.
