Powerful #JomaTeam at World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest

The 2023 World Athletics Championships kicks off with more than 9 Joma federations and 13 individual athletes, a presence that has grown compared to the previous edition.

More than 2,000 athletes from 200 different countries will compete from August 19 to 27 at the 2023 World Championships in Athletics. A total of 49 events will take place in Budapest, Hungary, just one year before the Olympic Games in Paris. There, more than 9 Joma federations will compete for a medal: Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Ireland, Mexico, and Morocco, among others. The National Athletics Center will be the venue for the biggest international event in this sport.

The strong presence of sponsored Joma national teams will allow the brand’s potential to be displayed to the world. Each of them will be incorporating their personalized uniforms, fitted with the best technology in the sports market. Events like this position the Spanish company as a clear leader.

13 more individual athletes than at the 2022 edition

In fact, we have to add the wide range of Joma athletes who will also be present at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. From just one in the previous edition, it has grown to 13 in total. Among them are Miguel Ángel López (Spain), European champion in race-walking 35 km; Olympic athlete Raquel González (Spain); Antía Chamosa and Alberto Amezcua in the 20km event; Brazilian and Olympic athlete Érica de Sena; and José Luis Doctor Morales with the FMAA.

Finally, such protagonism demonstrates the confidence that world top level athletics places in Joma incorporating its products. The uniforms of the sponsored teams focus on quality and the best technologies. All #JomaTeam will enjoy technical fabrics along with systems such as Micro-Mesh System, which contributes to sweat perspiration; or Flatlock and laser cut finishes, which limit rubbing. The goal has always been offering comfort and enhancing athletes’ performance to the maximum.
