This collection consists of parade, Olympic village, and Podium kits. More than 30 garments, with different patterns for men and women, 5 pairs of shoes and a complete accessory collection.
The designs are 100% Spanish. The design, marketing and brand communication teams working on them were comprised of more than 20 people. The team was based at the company’s headquarters in Portillo de Toledo and formed, among others, by athletes, including Olympic athletes.
For the design, Joma has used brand recognition for Spain so the clothes enhance the feeling and pride of each athlete in forming part of the Spanish Olympic delegation. Different versions for men and women have been designed, with a more feminine style and fitted patterns, as well as a wide variety of garments to adapt to the climate of Pyeongchang.
Podium line
For the PODIUM line a classic design has been chosen made in two patterns, for men and women. This line consists of a tracksuit, in red and white, a polo shirt, and a white long-sleeved T-shirt with red and yellow detailing and the Spanish flag on one of the shoulders.
The use of embossing technique should be highlighted, applying heat to project a renewed image when compared to the traditional kit. The polo shirt and T-shirt are made with lightweight and breathable fabrics, using the MICROMESH SYSTEM or the FLATLOCK flat seam system enhancing breathability and reducing friction with the sports person’s skin.
Stand out details of the tracksuit include the zipper on the lower part of the pants, to provide comfort to our athletes, or the embroidered logo on a fabric background highlighting its quality.
Parade and Olympic village lines
Both the VILLAGE and PARADE kits present a greater variety in terms of garments, colours, and fabrics. This collection consists of a tracksuit in shades of red and grey, two T-shirts, one with short and another with long sleeves, a long-sleeve polo shirt, a sweat suit set with long pants, and a gilet with parade pants, all designed both for men and women, along with casual C.367 shoes.
Additionally, a unisex line has been designed to cope with the low temperatures in Pyeongchang. This line is composed of a parka, snow pants, two thermal long-sleeved jerseys and thermal tights, snow gloves, hat, and snood as well as GR 131 model nubuck leather mountain shoes.
Parade line
Given Pyeongchang’s climate, the Spanish Olympic Committee athletes will take part in the parade wearing clothing to combat low temperatures.
A suit in shades of grey and red has been designed, consisting of pants and a tuxedo collar jersey accompanied by a long-hooded anorak, with zipper pockets and warm padding providing insulation in cold temperatures.
In addition, the Spanish delegation will have the following accessories: a cap and snow gloves, and the Aconcagua hiking boots, the Spanish brand’s best winter model made with nubuck leather. Waterproof, water-repellent, reinforced boots with a foam interior for greater comfort.
