Joma launches its first shoe with a carbon plate

Joma has launched the newest edition of the Spring Summer 2022 running footwear collection. The R.3000, is the new shoe model, that for the first time, incorporates a carbon plate in the brand’s catalog. This advancement reaffirms Joma as one of the specialists in technical footwear in the running market.

R.3000 is aimed at runners with good technique who want to take advantage of the extra reactivity provided by the ENDOPLATE carbon fiber plate. This semi-rigid material compresses the midsole foam achieving a 80% reactivity by releasing body weight. Therefore, the real benefit of R.3000 for runners is that the energy savings helps reduce fatigue, maintaining a steady pace throughout the run and facilitating recovery.

Regarding the profile of runners, it is aimed towards those with a good stride technique and high paces. The weight of the shoe is 258 gr. with a 8 mm drop.

The upper is constructed in a very breathable fabric where the VTS SYSTEM is applied in order to maximize this quality. In addition, the very thin nylon that provides comfort and freedom of movement to the foot following the JOMASPORTECH SYSTEM, providing adjustment to the foot without resistance in a lightweight way. For added comfort, the tongue has inner foam and double elastic fastening to the design ensuring that it stays in place at all times.

An exclusive geometry has been developed for the sole, designed for the type of runner targeted by the R.3000. These are runners with a refined technique who land on the forefoot, therefore, the rubber has been reinforced in the tip, especially in the toe and transition lines of the foot. The reduction of rubber helps to make the shoe lighter while allowing the energy release required for R.3000’s reactivity.

Another important point is to ensure the traction of the outsole to the asphalt at such fast paces for which the tread pattern is special. DURABILITY rubber increases the shoe’s durability.

The R.3000 is the result of hard work in research and development by the brand’s team and the experience of its athlete partners. In addition, exhaustive material controls and biomechanical tests have been carried out in external laboratories.
