Joma and the Romanian Football Federation present the jersey for its centenary

Joma, as a sports brand of reference in football and technical sponsor of the Romanian Football Federation, presents the special edition of the shirt for the occasion of the 100 year anniversary of the national team. Romania played its first international match in 1922 against Yugoslavia, a fact that is commemorated 100 years later.
The shirt is characterized by its retro style, with long sleeves and polo collar standing out. The latter includes an opening with crossed laces, a new feature that seeks to look back at the first shirt financed by Elemer Hirsch. Son of rich Jews, this football-loving lawyer personally saw to the purchase of the first kit. He ordered it in England and paid for it with his own money.
The main color is yellow, with which the national team has historically been identified with, and with which it wants to maintain its identity. As usual, the shield and the date of the centenary have been incorporated, although in this case both elements are embroidered, in order to provide more elegance. On the inside, two captions are included in print: “Limited series”, to indicate that this is a special edition, and “Originally made for the Yugoslavia vs. Romania match. June 8, 1922”, which pays homage to the match with which the Romanian Football Federation began its history. The J logos appear on knitted labels on the cuffs.
