Pablo Carreño has been called up by the Spanish Tennis Association to compete in the first round of the Davis Cup against Croatia which will take place in Osijeck, Croatia from February 3 to 5. The call up is credit to the Joma player who has has climbed the ATP Tour rankings with a series of outstanding displays. He joins Rafael Nadal, Roberto Bautista and Marc López in the Spanish team.
Carreño will also play in the semi-finals of the Australian Open men’s doubles on Thursday with partner Guillermo Garcia-López after beating Australians Bolt and Mousley in the quarter-finals. The pair will aim to appear in their second Grand Slam final but will firstly have to overcome the Bryan brothers of the USA.
