The Budapest 2023 Athletics World Championships finishes with a spectacular medal count from Joma sponsored national federations. In total, the brand has broken records by accumulating gold medals, with a total of 15 taking into account the rest of the medals.

Joma athletics federations have won 15 medals (seven gold, four silver, and four bronze) at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. With Spain leading Joma’s medal count and making history in racewalking, six out of the nine sponsored national teams stepped onto the podium in Budapest. The results left the brand in first place in the international competition and in third place compared to other competitors in the market.

  • SPAIN. If there is a federation that has made a mark in athletics, it is the Spanish federation. Athletes María Pérez and Álvaro Martín left everyone amazed with their double clinch in racewalking. Together, giving Spain four gold medals, distributed between 20 km and 35 km racewalking events. Additionally, the championship ended up with Mohamed Katir winning silver in the 5000m, another milestone for this country.

  • ITALY. FIDAL also did not leave anyone indifferent at the World Championships. First came Gianmarco Tamberi’s gold in high jump. Leonardo Fabbri in shot put and the 4x100m relay team gave Italy two silvers. Finally, Antonella Palmisano won another bronze medal for Joma in the 20 km racewalking event.

  • CZECH REPUBLIC. Czech Republic won two valuable bronzes, one from the mixed relay team of 4 and another from Jakub Vadlejch in javelin throw.
  • SERBIA. Another gold medal for #JomaTeam came from Ivana Vuleta in long jump. The Serbian athlete made her mark in women’s category.
  • SLOVENIA. The Slovenian delegation closed the Budapest World Championships with a silver medal from Kristjan Čeh in the discus throw event.
  • MOROCCO. Finally, the Moroccan athletes finished the event with two astonishing medals. Olympic champion Soufiane El Bakkali confirmed gold in the 3000-metre steeplechase after an impressive performance. Similarly, Fatima Ezzahra won bronze in the marathon over the weekend.
