Joma the leading brand at FIFA Futsal World Cup Finals

Argentina lifted the FIFA Futsal World Cup for the first time in their history last Saturday 1 October at Coliseo el Pueblo in Colombia, defeating Russia 4-5.

Alan Brandi’s quick-fire brace was ultimately the difference between the two teams. The Joma player shared five goals in the final with Russian opponent and fellow Joma player Eder Lima who was unlucky to end up on the losing side after firing a hat-trick of his own. However, Lima took the Silver Ball home with him as the tournament’s top scorer with 10 goals.

In total, no fewer than seven players who featured in the final chose Joma as their preferred footwear; Eder Lima, Chiskala, Romulus, Milovanov and Davydov of Russia as well as Alan Brandi and Maxi Rescia of Argentina.

In the third and fourth place play-off, Iran overcame a talented Portugal side to win 4-3 on penalties after the match ended 2-2 at full-time. Five Iranian players wore Joma shoes including their star player Ali Asghar Hassanzadeh while Andre and Fabio, also wore Joma while appearing for Portugal.
