Joma athletes concluded the World Relays Championships with strong performances, podium finishes, and new national records.
The World Relays Championships held in Botswana delivered notable results for Joma athletes, including several qualifications for the 2027 World Athletics Championships in Beijing, an international medal, and new national records across different events.
Qualifications for Beijing 2027
Manuel Guijarro secured qualification for the 2027 World Championships in Beijing in the 4×400 relay, also setting a new national record in a performance that reinforces his role within the team.
In the mixed 4×400 relay, Britain’s Alex Haydock-Wilson claimed the bronze medal, also securing qualification for the World Championships, as well as for the Ultimate Champs circuit—one of the most complete results of the competition for Joma athletes.
Aleeya Sibbons (Great Britain) also achieved qualification after meeting the objective in her relay event and confirming her place at the World Championships.
Broader national and international presence
Joma’s presence at the World Relays Championships was rounded out by other elite athletes from the brand competing in the 4×400, such as Shina Leni (Uganda), and in the 4×100, including Juan Carlos Castillo (Spain) and David Landim (Portugal).
