Joma and Swansea City AFC launch the new kit with which the club will go into the 2023/2024 season.
As has been the tradition since the club was founded at the start of the 20th century (1912), Swansea City AFC will continue to wear their white uniform as their distinguishing feature. Since 2016, Joma has been supporting Swansea City AFC as their technical sponsor, providing them with the best materials for all their competitions and helping to improve their players’ performance. As a result, and as mentioned earlier, the current aesthetics have retained the colour by which the football world knows Swansea City AFC: white. The essence of the kit is reflected by combining updated features and an elegant style in recycled fabric. As an example, a sublimation has been added to the sleeves using the traditional black as a contrast. The design creates some striking waves in gradients which create a spectacular optical effect.
As for the club emblem, this appears in elegant embroidery on the centre. And to give the shirt even more personality, “SWANSEA CITY AFC” has been printed inside the collar.
What’s more, the garment design has used the standard pattern with a ribbed crew neck and cuffs to provide a comfortable fit. It comes in black to fit in with the rest of the details. Lastly, the raglan sleeves add to the freedom of movement and comfort required by the Swansea City AFC players.
An eco-friendly t-shirt for a sustainable planet
For the new kit, Joma has reaffirmed its commitment to caring for the environment by using 100% recycled polyester elastics. Most Joma kits already use this fabric. It is made from recycled sources, especially PET bottles, which become the raw material. This reduces CO2 emissions by 75% of CO2 and avoids the use of oil.
As for the benefits when exercising, recycled polyester provides elasticity, resistance and good breathability.
