Villarreal CF have officially unveiled their new home kit for the 2023-2024 season. Fans who want to get their hands on it can now buy the kit in official stores and in the online store.
The yellow shirt is a symbol of Villarreal. Brand and club collaborated closely on its development and production. As a result, the current aesthetic retains the colour which gives the team its famous nickname. The kit retains its essence in combination with renewed aspects and an elegant style produced using recycled fabric. A Jacquard finish gives the kit a special and modern touch, creating a wave design on the fabric which also helps to wick away sweat. As usual, it features remodelled navy blue details, including the small emblem on the back.
The regular pattern with ribbed crew neck and a mesh V-neck detail stand out in the design. It has an opening in the sleeves with double finish also in mesh and rib. A half-ribbed hem ensures the perfect fit. All this contributes to maximum freedom of movement and comfort for the Villarreal CF players.
An eco-friendly t-shirt for a sustainable planet
For the new kit, Joma has reaffirmed its commitment to caring for the environment by using 100% recycled polyester elastics. Most Joma kits already use this fabric. It is made from recycled sources, especially PET bottles, which become the raw material. This reduces CO2 emissions by 75% of CO2 and avoids the use of oil.
As for the benefits when exercising, recycled polyester provides elasticity, resistance and good breathability.
The best technologies on the market
Sports expert Joma has incorporated the most cutting-edge technologies into the Villarreal CF kit. This is the result of significant investment in R+D+i over recent years. The products that will be sold to the general public also adhere to these quality standards.
First of all, MICRO-MESH SYSTEM technology is located in the areas most prone to sweating (the armpits) to help moisture evaporate quickly. Furthermore, each piece of fabric has been joined using the FLATLOCK seam system, which prevents chafing on the skin and enhances comfort during play. And let’s not forget the Villarreal CF crest, which appears on the front thanks to JOMA SPORTECH technology. This technique inherited from footwear design consists in heat sealing these rubber parts. This flexible and resistant material does not add weight and does not cause discomfort.
Villarreal and Joma renew their agreement for four seasons
When something’s working, it’s a good idea to renew it. Villarreal CF and Joma have reached a renewal agreement for the next four seasons which sees the prestigious Spanish sports firm continue as the club’s official exclusive specialist sports sponsor. This contractual relationship began in July 2016.
Thanks to this agreement, all the club’s sports and leisure kit will be supplied by Joma across all club categories. Likewise, the brand will be the only one authorised to manufacture, market and provide official sports equipment for Villarreal CF.
