Joma athlete Roberto Viciedo confirmed his place among the world’s best by winning two medals at the HYROX World Championships.
The rapid growth of competitive fitness in recent years has given rise to a new generation of specialized athletes in a discipline that has become a global phenomenon, with events taking place worldwide and a constantly expanding community.
Joma has been part of this growth. Last weekend, the brand took center stage at the sport’s biggest international event: the HYROX World Championships. The competition brought together the most complete athletes from around the world, including Spaniards Roberto Viciedo, a double medalist in the Pro division, and Aitor Lizarazu, as well as Italian athlete Enrico Covetto, among others.
A historic achievement for Roberto Viciedo with the new RH development
Among the standout performers at the 2026 HYROX World Championships was Roberto Viciedo. The Joma athlete delivered an outstanding performance by winning two medals in the Pro Men 25-29 category. Viciedo finished third in the world in the individual competition and added a second medal by claiming silver in the Pro Men Doubles 25-29 category.
Beyond the sporting results, the World Championships also served as an important testing ground for Joma’s innovation within the Hyrox ecosystem. Viciedo competed wearing a new development currently being worked on by Joma: the RH shoes. This project is being developed in close collaboration with athletes who experience the demands of competition firsthand and understand the challenges of the discipline better than anyone.
If there is one thing that defines competitive fitness, it is its ability to push every detail to the limit. And it is precisely in this environment, where performance is measured in seconds and margins are minimal, that Joma has found the ideal setting to continue evolving.
