Fifth time lucky. For the first time in its history this Sunday, after four finals, Spain has been crowned European champion after beating Sweden by 29-23 in the European final held in Croatia.
The Spanish team has managed to break the curse hanging over them after losing in four previous finals, and, with Joma for the first time acting as official technical sponsor, managed to claim the European title.
With this victory the Hispanos have booked their place in the 2019 World Cup and the 2020 European cup.
