A few days before the opening of the Beijing 2022 Winter Games, Joma, as technical sponsor of the Spanish Olympic Committee, presents the uniform that the Spanish delegation will parade on at the National Stadium in Beijing, during the Opening Ceremony held on February 4.
The Spanish athletes will have on a plain look composed of an anorak and dark blue snow pants with red and yellow touches highlighting the word ESPAÑA (SPAIN) and the Olympic Committee’s coat of arms. Made of water and wind resistant materials, with thermo sealed seams to prevent heat loss and a second layer of internal fleece for the athletes to feel warm and comfortable. In addition, each athlete will have BRAMA first-layer thermal garments that maintain a constant internal temperature while expelling sweat to the outside of the garment.
The look is completed with a high-top ANGANA boot made of upper synthetic leather, waterproof and water-repellent Cordura.
It incorporates Aisla-Tex, a breathable and protective membrane against water going in.
Includes inner foam to adapt to the ankle. The insole is made of pre-molded EVA adjusted to the shape of the foot. The midsole is constructed in high quality spongy phylon providing cushioning and impulse. The sole is made of high quality rubber with DIN-70 abrasion.
The designs are 100% Spanish. More than 20 people from the brand’s design, marketing and communication teams have been involved in their development. A team based at the company’s headquarters in Portillo de Toledo, formed alongside other profiles by professional athletes.
For the Awards and Villas, the winter athletes will wear the same collection as the Spanish athletes who competed in the Tokyo Games last July, adapting the fabrics to the cold common in these Games. Being a wide collection made up of more than 30 garments.
AWARD Line
For the Award line, a classic design in white has been chosen for the tracksuit, polo shirt and t-shirt, with red and yellow finishes, and made of polyester fleece, a warm and breathable fabric, with the MICROMESH SYSTEM or FLATLOCK flat seams for breathability and comfort.
Characteristics such as a zipper at the bottom of the pants, with idea of providing comfort to our athletes, or the embroidered logo on fabric application highlighting its quality, make the tracksuit unique.
This line will ensure that our athletes stand on the podium at the medal ceremony in Beijing with equipment that will provide safety, design and the latest technologies to enhance their comfort.
VILLA and LEISURE TIME line
The Villa’s uniform is the one with the greatest variety of garments, colors and fabrics. On this occasion, the colors blue, red and white are predominant, combined with gray, and fabrics being polyester, cotton and elastane.
Within this uniform, there is a line of more formal garments for travel and official events, and another more comfortable one for the athletes’ stay at the Olympic Village.
With regard to fabrics, the expected temperature in Beijing during the Games has been taken into account, so fleece fabrics are used.
