This weekend, Joma athletes took center stage at the National Indoor Championships held in various countries, delivering an impressive tally of medals, records and outstanding performances.
Spanish Absolute Short Track Championships
At the Spanish Championships, the name Joma strongly resonated on the track. Its elite athletes once again proved synonymous with success thanks to their remarkable performances.
- Xenia Benach, Joma athlete, delivered a solid performance from start to finish and was crowned Spanish champion in the women’s 60m hurdles with a time of 8.10, equaling the best Spanish mark of the year.
- Naima Ait Alibou, also a Joma athlete, claimed bronze in the demanding 1500 meters, crossing the finish line in 4:18.88 and adding another medal to the brand’s tally.
- Juan Carlos Castillo and Esther Navero, both competing in Joma footwear, secured bronze medals in the 200 meters, strengthening the brand’s presence in national sprint events.
The team also achieved notable finalist positions: Daniela Fra, fifth in the 400 meters, and Ángel Díaz, fifth in the 60m hurdles, demonstrating depth and competitive consistency.
International indoor impact

- Devora Avramova claimed gold in the 3000 meters in Bulgaria.
- Pauline Stey secured gold and set a new French national record in the 3000m race walk.
- Oliver Lofqvist and Callum Morgan earned bronze medals in the 3000 meters in Sweden and Ireland respectively.
- Joshua Faulds narrowly missed the podium with a strong fourth-place finish in the 400 meters in the United Kingdom. The same position was achieved by Erno Steigerwald in Hungary and Beatriz Fernandes in the 1500 meters in Portugal.
Across the Atlantic, the Indoor Championships also carried the Joma signature:
- Lauren Harris not only won gold in the 5000m race walk but also set a new United States national record. Joma was also represented in the 60m hurdles final.
- Tatiana Aholou added a silver medal in the 60m hurdles in Canada.
