
Romanian Athletics Federation
Athletics appeared in Romania at the end of the 19th century. The first organised athletics competition took place in 1882 in Bucharest.
At the Amsterdam Olympic Games in 1928, Romania participated for the first time in the athletics competition, with 10 male and 2 female athletes. In 1937, the FRG organised the Balkan Games in Romania for the first time, and in 1948, the International Championships of Romania began.
