Romanian Football Federation

The Romanian Football Federation (FRF) has its headquarters in Bucharest and is responsible for organising several competitions involving Romanian teams. The Federation joined FIFA in 1923 and UEFA in 1954.

Its achievements include reaching the quarter-finals, in the FIFA World Cup in 1994. At club level, FC Steaua Bucuresti has been the most successful Romanian team, winning the European Cup in 1986 and, in 1987, UEFA Super Cup.
