Joma, as Official Footwear of the World Padel Tour, has introduced the new version of the official WPT trainers, the Slam model.

Slam trainers have carved a significant space in the market niche of padel tennis shoes thanks to the recognition of their excellent value for money, the application of the latest technologies in sports footwear and their use by professional players including Alba Galán, Pincho Fernández, José Antonio García Diestro, Juani Mieres, Carmen Goenaga, Teresa Navarro and Javi Rico, among others.

These trainers have been specifically designed for this sport, and are characterised for their cushioning, stability and high resistance to wear.

Their excellent cushioning is thanks to the use of the REACTIVE BALL system on the midsole. This material expands easily to provide an enormous capacity for impact in the foot strike while also recovering its shape quickly, boosting the exit. Moreover, the midsole consists of another base of phylon of a greater density, providing stability as part of the FULL DUAL PULSOR system.

The upper is extremely breathable thanks to being made with mesh. This quality is highly valued in sports that are played on courts with a high abrasion. To protect this area of the foot, the INJECTION PRINT system is applied, an injected rubber which holds the foot comfortably. The inner part of the foot, which suffers the most wear due to side movements during the game, includes a larger piece of rubber which protects the foot.

EXO COUNTER is the stability system created by a more rigid external heel counter which holds the heel in place, adapting the trainer to the shape of the foot. This way, the foot strike will be more stable in sideways dragging movements and firm in the heel entry.

The stability is reinforced with the use of the STABILIS system, an injected piece which goes from the bridge to the metatarsus and which stabilises the transition of the foot strike. Thanks to this piece, the trainer retains its shape throughout the game. It doesn’t bend and prevents incorrect twists.

The sole is made using the DURABILITY system, consisting of high density rubber which withstands wear on the courts. Its deep herringbone pattern guarantees the grip on the game surface. This high strength material also protects the toe area.
