GETAFE C.F.
Getafe Football Club is a Spanish professional team based in Getafe, Madrid. It was founded in 1946 but after going bankrupt it was reformed in 1983 under the name it still has today.
Throughout most of its history the team has competed in the country’s lower leagues, where it has experienced several promotions and relegations. A little over a decade ago, however, the team succeeded in reaching football’s highest league, making its début there in the 2004-05 season, where it played some of the most successful teams in the country and fought for victory in a number of different competitions. Despite its various setbacks, the team has amassed a collection of more than 40 wins in friendly tournaments plus the Ramón Triana Cup. It can also be proud of its achievements of being twice runner up in the Copa del Rey (King’s Cup).
Joma has created a shirt that preserves the identity of Getafe CF using the colour blue as the main feature. The new team shirt features a classic design with a round collar and elastic ribbing characterised at the front by a sublimation of vertical lines in different shades of blue. Several details offering excellent quality have been added to the new Getafe CF shirt, such as a section located at the shoulder to improve comfort, elastic ribbing at the collar for a better fit, or new fabric with antibacterial treatment to improve breathability for the player. It also includes on the back the flag of Spain. The second and third Getafe CF strips, in red and yellow respectively, uphold the same quality design features as the Madrid club’s first kit.
