The sports brand reinforces its commitment to R&D in padel through laboratory tests that provide an in-depth understanding of its rackets
In order to obtain information about their performance in different game situations, a study has been carried out that tests Joma’s padel rackets. This initiative is part of the brand’s strategy to continue developing products with technological innovation.
Tests behind the study
The report was conducted by ATRIA Innovation, a company specializing in R&D testing, which applied a series of laboratory tests to analyze the key aspects of Joma rackets.
- Weight and balance. With the cylinder placed on a table, the racket is positioned to measure how the weight is distributed, determining its handling and playing style.
- Power and ball output. For this analysis, the racket is placed on an actuator system that, using pneumatics, performs controlled hits on the ball, allowing the evaluation of impact level. Ball output measures the speed at which the ball is projected after being hit under controlled conditions.
- Material hardness. Using a universal testing machine, the resistance to compression at different points of the racket is evaluated.
- Vibration absorption in the handle. In this part of the test, high-precision sensors record the ability to reduce impact after each hit.
- Handling with UR10 robot. To measure handling, a UR10 robot simulates the movement of a human arm, recording the forces required to execute a padel shot.
Key results
Joma rackets are a balanced, high-performance model that combine power, control, and comfort in every hit. Thanks to their slightly above-average power and impact absorption, they provide offensive play and greater comfort, reducing vibration levels.
Additionally, their ball output ensures precise control, ideal for players who prioritize accuracy in every shot. Balanced hardness guarantees stability and consistency in play, consolidating Joma as a sports brand offering a wide variety of rackets suitable for all types of players.
