The Spanish Olympic delegation wins gold in Olympic shooting. This medal has a special flavour as it is a mixed discipline, Fátima Gálvez and Alberto Fernández. It is the second mixed medal in the history of Spanish sport. In Athens 2004, dressage won silver.
This gold is the fourth medal in Tokyo 2020 after those obtained by Adriana Cerezo in taekwondo (silver), David Valero in mountain biking (bronze) and Maialen Chourraut (silver) in whitewater. The fifth has fallen in tennis, with ‘JomaPlayer’ Pablo Carreño taking bronze for Spain after beating the world number one tennis player.
