Dolgopolov wins Argentina Open singles title

Alexandr Golgopolov won the third title of his career in Buenos Aires at the weekend by overcoming world number five and tournament favourite Keiron Nishikori 7-6 (4), 6-4. The Joma sponsored player began the Argentina Open tournament ranked number 66 but the victory over Nishikori pushes him up the ATP ranking to number 50. Dolgopolov previously won titles in Washington in 2012 and on the clay surface at Umag in 2011.

This week, Dolgopolov will compete in the Rio Open alongside other Joma sponsored players, Brazilian Thiago Monteiro who competes in his country own tournament and Spaniards Pablo Carreño and Albert Ramos.
