The brand validates in the Alps the reliability and performance of its technical trail running equipment.
An intense day comes to an end for the Joma Trail Team at the Chamonix ultratrail. This event, considered the world’s cradle of trail running, has been the perfect stage for Joma to put its technical products to the test. After all, there is no better laboratory test than the one carried out in a real environment, where physical demands and extreme conditions make all the difference. Here, the brand has demonstrated the reliability and performance of its equipment on the great international stage.
The athletes, who competed alongside the international trail elite, faced alpine climbs, technical terrain and changing weather conditions equipped with Joma, with the confidence of wearing gear designed to withstand the toughest challenges. Beyond being a key step in Joma’s positioning in this sport at a global level, participation in Chamonix has allowed the brand to validate in real terrain the technological developments applied to its trail running collection.
Joma trail products pushed to the limit in Chamonix
These are the technical items the Joma Trail Team competed with on Mont Blanc. Their reliability and performance had already been tested in the J Lab innovation laboratory, but the athletes’ performance confirmed top-level sporting results.
What makes the Marathon II stand out is its weight: barely 55 grams (size M). This ultralight garment is the team’s go-to uniform. Trail legend Miguel Heras had already tested the T-shirt, and his feedback was key to perfecting it and taking it to the most demanding races on the calendar.
Thanks to its Micro-Mesh System technology, it promotes maximum ventilation and sweat evaporation, helping keep the body dry even in the toughest conditions. In trail running, a sport practiced in constantly changing conditions, avoiding overheating and regulating body temperature is fundamental to achieving efficiency in the race.

The J Lab laboratory had already confirmed the waterproofing of this jacket through the water column test, which determines how much pressure a fabric can withstand before letting water through. A 10,000 mm rating means it can resist the pressure of a 10-meter water column on the fabric. In practice, this translates into effective protection against heavy, prolonged rain, ensuring the athlete stays dry even in adverse weather conditions, such as those experienced in Chamonix.

Lightweight, ergonomic and with great capacity, both hydration accessories ensure quick and complete refueling. They meet the real needs of mountain runners, offering an ultralight design that maximizes freedom of movement without sacrificing functionality. Made from technical Micro-Mesh System fabric, they guarantee excellent breathability and comfort even in the most demanding conditions. In fact, the belt (approx. 2.5 liters) is ranked among the best on the market.
