Joma sponsored tennis player Pablo Carreño qualified yesterday for his first BNP Paribas Open semi-final by overcoming Argentinian and world number 27, Pablo Cuevas 6-1, 3-6, 7-4 (4) at Indian Wells, USA in the last eight.
The victory is the Spaniards most important of his career as he won the tie-break 7-4 on his second match ball. Carreño will now face world number 3, Stanislav Wawrinka on Saturday 18 March for a place in Sundays final.
Carreño’s latest career high also sees him break into the ATP Tour rankings top 20 with a guaranteed elevation to number 19 in the world.
