Antía Chamosa crowned Spanish champion in race walking with a double win in 20 and 35 km

The Joma athlete, Antía Chamosa, has shown to be in the elite of Spanish athletics by making history at the Spanish Race-Walking Championship on the 20km road, held in Murcia. Just a few weeks ago, she was also crowned national champion in the 35 km race in Pontevedra. Now, she secures the double win and establishes herself as the great promise of Spanish race walking.

During the race, Antía Chamosa left her competitors behind, advancing at an unstoppable pace from the sixth kilometer and accelerating even more in the second half of the race. In the end, she crossed the finish line first, claiming the top spot with a personal record time of 1:27:55. This time ranks her as the fifth best Spanish athlete in history, as well as the fifth best global time of the year and the best in Europe for the season.

Her victory in this championship strengthens her international projection and positions her as a strong candidate for future high-level commitments. Likewise, other Joma athletes have competed in Murcia and have finished with medals. The female podium stands out with the performances of Paula Juárez (1:30:05) and Raquel González (1:31:20), who, along with Antía Chamosa, completed the top of the female absolute category. In the male category, Miguel Ángel López (1:21:38) won the silver in the 20 km absolute category and Pablo Rodríguez (1:23:55) was the under-23 champion.
