Daniel Ibañes Caetano
Daniel Ibañes Caetano is a former Brazilian futsal player who played in Spain throughout his career. He began in 1995 when he joined the Mejorada but only a year later he moved to Caja Segovia where he remained until 2002. He was with Inter Movistar, however, when he finished his time as a player in 2010, after eight seasons. His admirable playing career saw him win 5 Spanish Leagues, 7 Copa del Rey (King's Cups), 8 Supercopas, 4 UEFA Futsal Cups, 5 Intercontinental Cups, an European Cup Winners' Cup, 2 Iberian Cups, a World Championship, 4 European Championships and more than 100 International Cups with the Spanish team. As if that were not enough, he also won 6 individual titles including best player and highest goal scorer at the UEFA Futsal Cup and best right winger, best centre and highest goal scorer in the LNFS. At the end of his playing career he spent a year in management at Inter Movistar, where in 2011 he began a new role as second trainer. Shortly afterwards, keen to expand his horizons, he moved to Era Pack Chrudim, in the Czech Republic, as their coach, where he led the team for two seasons. He has now returned to Spain with his batteries recharged to head up C.D. Burela where, with the support of their fans, he will lead the team from the bench to achieve the highest possible success.
