
Inês Fernandes
Inês Lourenço Fernandes, Portuguese player, born on 7th September 1989. She started playing the sport at the neighbourhood club, G.S.C. Novos Talentos, at the age of 14 and won several district titles until she caught the eye of S.L. Benfica, four-time national champion, and was transferred there at the age of 19, the club she still represents today. She integrated several times the National University National Team and made her debut in the Portuguese National Team, at the age of 21, to participate in the 1st World Tournament in 2010.
- For Benfica she was 6x National Champion, besides winning 6 Portuguese Cups, 6 Portuguese Super Cups and 1 League Cup.
- For the National University Team, she won a Silver Medal (2010) and two Bronze medals at the World University Championships (2012 and 2016).
- For Portugal, she was 2x World Vice-Champion (2010 and 2012) and 2x European Vice-Champion (2019 and 2022). She won the Moscow Tournament (2012).
She was considered, by the website Futsalplanet, 6th best player in the World in 2017.
