Accessibility Statement

Introduction

At Joma Sport, we are committed to universal digital accessibility, working continuously to ensure that our digital assets are usable by all people, regardless of their abilities, age, or personal circumstances.

Our accessibility statement is based on the harmonized European technical standard EN 301 549 in its latest version, which is the European standard for digital accessibility, approved by the European Commission. This standard defines the accessibility requirements for technological products and services.

The scope of this statement covers the website www.joma-sport.com, excluding embedded content from external domains. However, Joma Sport’s website and its external providers maintain an active commitment to improving the accessibility of external content included on the site, with the aim of ensuring the most inclusive digital experience possible.

Our goal is to continuously monitor and correct potential digital accessibility barriers, in order to provide an inclusive and barrier-free experience for all users.

Beyond regulatory compliance, Joma Sport’s website aims to exceed the legal requirements for digital accessibility. Our commitment is to achieve the highest accessibility standards, with the objective of meeting AAA-level criteria, continuously improving the usability of our digital products, and obtaining certifications that endorse our excellence in accessibility.

To achieve this ambitious goal, we have implemented a comprehensive Digital Accessibility Service (D.A.S.), developing integrated corrective measures that include specialized training for our teams, systems for continuous evaluation and improvement of accessibility, and proactive actions across both our websites and mobile applications, with the ultimate purpose of ensuring a truly universal and inclusive digital experience.

Adopted Criteria

Joma Sport’s website follows the EN 301 549 standard to ensure the digital accessibility of www.joma-sport.com. Some of the features implemented to improve content accessibility include:

  • (9.1.1.1) A thorough review of all meaningful images is being carried out to ensure they include appropriate alternative texts (alt), making visual information accessible to people with visual impairments.
  • (9.1.2.1) Audio-only or visual-only resources are being evaluated to verify that they provide equivalent text alternatives, such as transcripts or detailed descriptions.
  • (9.1.3.1) Structural elements such as headings, field groupings, lists, and tables are being audited to confirm that visual relationships are correctly reflected in the code.
  • (9.1.3.5) Appropriate autocomplete attributes are being incorporated into forms to improve user experience, especially on mobile devices or in assisted access contexts.
  • (9.1.4.1) Additional visual cues such as underlines, icons, or explanatory text are being added to ensure that color is not the sole means of conveying information.
  • (9.1.4.3) Both automated and manual tools are being used to check that the contrast between text and background meets minimum requirements for readability.
  • (9.1.4.5) The use of text images is being avoided, except in justified cases such as logos, with a preference for accessible real text.
  • (9.1.4.13) Additional content triggered by mouse hover or keyboard focus is being monitored to ensure it does not hide important information and can be easily dismissed.
  • (9.2.1.1) The development team is adapting all interactive components to ensure full functionality via keyboard, thus allowing navigation without a mouse.
  • (9.2.2.1) Each time-limited functionality is being analyzed to ensure users can extend, pause, or disable it according to their needs.
  • (9.2.2.2) All auto-moving elements are being audited to verify that they include accessible and visible pause or close mechanisms.
  • (9.2.4.2) Page titles are being reviewed to ensure they clearly describe the content and improve orientation within the site.
  • (9.2.4.3) Tab order is being checked for logical and consistent sequencing, allowing navigation that does not alter meaning or operation.
  • (9.2.4.4) Link texts are being refined to be more descriptive and understandable on their own, without additional context.
  • (9.2.4.6) A clear and logical hierarchy is being applied to headings and labels to facilitate content understanding and structured navigation.
  • (9.2.4.7) All interactive elements are being reviewed to ensure that the keyboard focus is always visible through clear and contrasting styles.
  • (9.3.1.2) Lang attributes are being added to content fragments in languages other than the main one, ensuring correct pronunciation by multilingual screen readers.
  • (9.4.1.2) Work is being carried out to improve the semantic accessibility of all custom components, ensuring they correctly convey role, state, and value to assistive technologies.
  • (9.4.1.3) Proper implementation of ARIA roles and accessible attributes is underway so that dynamic messages (such as errors, confirmations, or alerts) are detected and announced by screen readers.
  • (9.6) The five compliance principles required by WCAG AA level are being guaranteed, ensuring that pages, processes, and technologies do not interfere with the overall accessibility of the content.
  • (12.1.2) Product documentation is fully available in accessible formats.
  • (10.1.1.1) Images present in non-web documents are labeled or provided with a text alternative.
  • (10.1.3.1) In documents, information, structure, and relationships are determined by software or provided as text alternatives.
  • (10.1.4.4) In documents, text can be resized up to 200% without assistive technology, without loss of content or functionality.
  • (10.2.4.2) Documents have an identified page title.
  • (10.4.1.2) In documents, user interface components such as form fields, links, and script-generated components follow the structure recommended by accessibility guidelines.
