Alex Rodrigo da Silva Merlim, known as Merlim, is a Brazilian futsal player with Italian nationality who has played for the Italian national team since 2010. Together with the Italian national side he has one the European Championship in 2012 and obtained third position in the World Cup held in Thailand the same year. Although his career began in the youth divisions of Brazil in 2007 he went to Italy to join the Augusta team competing in Serie A.
