St. Johnstone F.C.
St. Johnstone Football Club is a Scottish professional football team, based in the town of Perth. It was founded in 1884, and currently plays in the Scottish Premier League. It had its best season in 1970-71, when it finished in third position just behind Celtic and Aberdeen, allowing it to play for the first time in the UEFA Cup in 1971. The team played in the Scottish Premier League until the 1975 season, when the Championship was restructured and the Perth team was relegated to First Division. It returned to the Premier League in 1983, although only for one season and then descended on two consecutive occasions dropping to Second Division in 1986, returning to the Premier League in 1990. It is a team that goes up and down leagues fairly regularly, after several years in the second division in the 2009-10 season it returned to the Premier League.
