Sara Sorribes wins her first WTA title of the year in Cluj-Napoca

The victory at the WTA 250 Cluj-Napoca confirms the competitive comeback of Joma athlete Sara Sorribes.

Sara Sorribes is back at the top of professional tennis after winning the WTA 250 tournament in Cluj-Napoca, a very special title that marks her first victory of the season, just a few months after returning to competition.

The Spanish player, technically sponsored by Joma, completed an outstanding week in Romania by winning the doubles final alongside Kamilla Rakhimova, defeating their opponents 7-6 (7), 6-3 in a match that lasted one hour and 47 minutes.

This title has particular significance, as it is the first WTA-level trophy she has claimed since announcing her return to competition in November 2025. Tournament by tournament, Sorribes has gradually regained rhythm and confidence, opening her 2026 title tally in Cluj-Napoca.

In addition, the triumph at the Transylvania Open represents the eighth doubles title of her career for the Joma player, adding to previous victories in Monterrey (2018), Rabat (2019), Istanbul (2022), Beijing (2023), Madrid (2024), Bogotá (2025) and Colina (2025).

At Joma, as her technical sponsor, we celebrate this success and continue to support Sara Sorribes in this new chapter of her professional career.
