Joma reaffirms its leadership at the top of athletics with its sponsored athletes, who have competed wearing the brand’s high-performance footwear.
In the days leading up to the events, Joma athletes competed in their respective 2025 National Athletics Championships. Various countries hosted the nation’s best to fight for national glory—and there, Joma was once again a protagonist, claiming podium finishes in Spain, France, Slovakia, and Hungary, among others. All of its athletes reached peak performance wearing Joma’s technical gear across a range of highly competitive disciplines.
Spanish Athletics Championship: two medals in race walking and gold in hurdles
Joma’s race walkers dominated their event with two medals. Paul McGrath was crowned Spanish champion in the 10,000 meters walk, stopping the clock at 38:49.76. This time earned him the gold medal and also became the best Spanish time of the year (LE) at this distance—a double milestone in his career.
In the women’s category, Antía Chamosa also delivered an outstanding performance by claiming silver with a time of 43:29.19, which marked her personal best (MMP) and an unstoppable personal progression.
Both athletes competed wearing the Joma R-5000, a high-end model designed for elite competition, extremely lightweight and engineered for fast paces thanks to its carbon plate and Fly Reactive technology.
In speed events, Xènia Benach showed her dominance in the 100m hurdles, winning a commanding gold medal with a time of 13.04 seconds. This national title was her first with Joma, just days after announcing her new sponsorship. She trusted the Joma R-1100 spikes, designed specifically for speed and hurdles events.

International success across European National Championships
But Joma’s athletes didn’t only shine in Spain. At the same time, several representatives stood on the podium at the National Championships of Hungary, Slovakia, and France, expanding the brand’s presence and impact across European athletics.
- In Hungary, Mark Pap claimed silver in the 100m and gold in the 4x100m relay. Erno Steigerwald added to the success by winning the 4x400m relay, climbing to the top of the podium.
- In Slovakia, Peter Durec won gold in the 5,000 meters, confirming his dominance in distance running and cementing his position among the nation’s top athletes.
- In France, Pauline Stey and Ana Delahaie stepped onto the podium in the 10,000m race walk, taking silver and bronze, respectively. Both delivered strong performances in one of the most demanding women’s endurance events.
